Ever since Elon Musk forked out $44 billion to acquire Twitter, there has been far too much noise around Twitter verified accounts and Twitter Blue. Twitter Blue is a subscription service from the social media platform and is available in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the UK starting November 9. Currently, the feature is only available on iOS devices. Twitter has put a hold on Twitter Blue subscriptions and Musk said that it may relaunch on November 29.
It’s not clear what criteria prospective subscribers will have to meet. Having said that, prior to the temporary pause on Twitter Blue, Twitter had listed out how users could get a verified account.
