Will the Northern Lights Friday night be on or off?


After Thursday night’s spectacular light show in the northern sky due to the Aurora Borealis, Friday night will be a little different.

The general viewing of the Northern Lights will be shifted farther north tonight closer to the U.S. and Canadian border.

Here’s a look at the viewing chances across the Northeast and Great Lakes:

There will also be some extra scattered clouds in our sky overnight due to an approaching front that will also hinder any possible view of the sky.
