Google brings AR support to these phones to make better use of cameras, sensors and more


Google has expanded its list of phones that support its ARCore certification. ARCore is Google’s platform for building augmented reality (AR) experiences. Using different APIs, ARCore enables users’ phones to sense its environment and interact with the information using its AR capabilities. To certify each device, Google says that it checks the quality of the camera, motion sensors, and the design architecture to ensure it performs as expected. Also, the device needs to have a powerful enough CPU that integrates with the hardware design to ensure good performance and effective real-time calculations. Google regularly updates its list with all the devices compatibles with ARCore. These smartphones need Android 8 version or higher. Here are the new smartphones that have joined the list:
