Redmi A1+ renders leaked online ahead of the launch, tipped to feature MediaTek Helio A22 chipset


Redmi recently unveiled its entry-level smartphone in India. The company is now gearing up to launch another A series smartphone in the market. The smartphone is said to be Redmi A1+ and is expected to resemble its predecessor Redmi A launched earlier this year.

According to a report by Gizmochina (via Appuals), Redmi A1+ is said to sport a 6.52-inch HD+ display with 1600×720 pixels resolution. The smartphone may come with a 120Hz touch sampling rate.

The handset is said to be powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 chipset coupled with 2GB LPDDR4X RAM and 32GB internal storage.

For optics, the smartphone may feature a dual rear camera setup which may include an 8 MP main sensor. The front camera module could feature a 5 MP sensor for clicking selfies and doing video calls.

The smartphone is said to be backed by a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging support and may run Android 12 OS.

Connectivity options may include– a 3.5mm headphone jack, micro-USB port, dual nano SIM, microSD card slot, VoWiFi, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth v5.0.

The smartphone is said to come in three colour variants– black, light blue, and light green.
